Just wanted to drop a short note that the new greatest and latest Southern California fire is happening within near striking distance of my new home. I am talking about probably 4 miles South or who knows, maybe even a bit less. NOT COOL.
Of course, being who I am, I had to take some pictures.. on my way up to I-14 where I-5 and I-14 split from I-5, the road below, you could see RIGHT THERE within 2-3 blocks some fire. So I decided to take the BRILLIANT IDEA (yeah right) of going I-14, except the fire was happening like right next to it. Probably half a mile up. FUCK. Traffic jammed, I thought this could have turned into one of those "fight or flight" situations.. but I made it through though it did scare me.
Anyway, there's a slight chance at this point that this whole place may burn down. Small but there notheless. I hope this shit is contained.
Oh well, if this came to pass, I guess at least I have my digital camera, my phone at work (which I left yesterday), my laptop and Warcraft 3.
