Anybody else noticed Gas prices seem to be getting out of control?
It's $2.62 for the "high end" were I live now and the low end seems to be a super high $2.35-$2.42

I saw $2.99 at a SF station (I drove a little further and filled up for $2.59... and considered myself LUCKY).
While the instant price will continue to fluctuate, I believe a strong upward trend is here to stay. The rest of the world is starting to compete for the resources 'first worlders' have heretofore taken for granted. And it isn't just gas - all limited resources will become scarcer in the near future. For example, the steel rebar used to reinforce concrete has quadrupled in price over the last year.

Crude Oil has been steadily breaking records on price per barrel almost daily for the past week or so... The high prices are still to come...
