This was an attempt to continue improving my street nightlife. I took many photos but decided to upload the ones that I think are the better ones. Not all are right. My teacher liked a few a lot, but a bunch of others had the right composition, moment, etc. but they were according to him underexposed.
I am amazed how many people just *really wanted* their photo taken. The guy with the mexican hat is one of the most onerous examples- he actually interposed himself between my lens and another subject I was going to shoot in the distance, and made the pose until I gave the "ok, I got your shot" acknowledgement.
For this assignment I found I made some glaring mistakes like cutting feet, not proper framing... but I am noticing I am realizing these mistakes within seconds of taken the shot where before it would take hours or the day I was classifying the shots for my teacher to see, to realize them. So hopefully it will time-compress to the moment I see the photo in the viewfinder and then I can claim another level up of experience :-)
As usual, comments & critique welcome.
I converted these shots from RAW for the most part using Raw Shooter Premium but I think I am going to stick to use Olympus Studio. It's not that Raw Shooter can't do a good job, but you need to tweak more and that goes against the workflow idea of saving time.. though I love the speed and concurrent batching of Raw Shooter and wish Oly Studio had that, at the end of the day the best image quality in the most "auto mode" possible- is what I want and I find Oly Studio being better here.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I decided to re-convert and re-export usign Olympus Studio. I couldn't stand the paler non film grain like Raw Shooter Conversion. If you are seeing the same images make sure you flush your browser cache or hit refresh. There IS a difference. I also noticed Oly Studio corrects lens distortion a bit.
